Letting the Shackles Go: Living in the Free Zone

Thursday December 21, 7-9:30pm

‘Satsang is very precious to me. I treasure the meditations…’ ~WYC Student

"Letting the Shackles Go: Living in the Free Zone"

What is it like for us when we realize we are deeply attached to an identity that dissolves under intense scrutiny and seems to have no verifiable solidity?? What is it like for us to take a dizzying step into that free zone inside us where we know that for all the roles we play, titles we carry and viewpoints we hold, we are none of those? My teacher loved to offer such puzzles as: if you wake knowing you had hours of deep and dreamless sleep, who was there to know this? On what is our identity based? Who defines and recognizes the emotion we are having while in the midst of its strongest moment? At this time when we are bonding together ever more energetically to be part of a new created world built on awakenment and loving kindness, why do we still resist? What do we gain staying moored to what we have always known? If belonging to the one within us all brings us so much joy and if in fact we are in this together, why do we continue to hang back and bide our time? Come and explore…..

The group chose this theme in our last Satsang. Come join us and enjoy our shared learning as we all continue to grow together.
