June Satsang: “Transcendence in Our Relationships”

Thursday June 25, 7-9:30pm

‘Satsang is very precious to me. I treasure the meditations…’ ~WYC Student

We tend to live for someday. We may live with an idea that the world is a place of suffering to be transcended through meditative practices. Those practices give us respite from personal limitations or circumstances we can’t change. We may carry a split between our own secular viewpoint, where practicalities are the main business of life, and seek times of immersion in higher realms of “spirituality” where we touch great heights—only to return to ordinary life without lasting change.
The challenge now—we might even say the evolutionary challenge—is to bring these “higher realms” directly into our personal relationships, to experience the divine in our primary and other intimate relationships. To dwell in transcendence directly through our love for another equally fallible person— this is an extraordinary practice.

The group chose this theme in our last Satsang. Come join us and enjoy our shared learning as we all continue to grow together.

Satsang is an evening of high energy with Rudrani, the WYC Director. This monthly program includes group meditation, chanting, yoga philosophy, spiritual teachings and an exploration of the theme of the month. All are welcome. No prior experience needed.

Call for 66th St. location information 212-877-4153.
Tuiton: $20

We will provide tea and cushions. If you are new to meditation as a practice, there will be instruction to support you. All are welcome.
