The Mind is your Enemy or Your Friend

Thursday Feb 7th, 7-9:30pm

‘Satsang is very precious to me. I treasure the meditations…’ ~WYC Student

"The Mind is your Enemy or Your Friend"

A mind that is our friend when it is aligned to its source can liberate us. It’s a brilliant illuminated instrument, this mind of ours when you think about it, capable of language, memory, imagination and creativity that will uplift us if we engage it! Yet the mind, when disconnected from its source, can enslave us, even torment us, though we seem to gravitate towards this limiting condition endlessly.

Using the positive aspect of the mind– including remembering our true value and actively engaging in dissolving negative thought patterns, we can even have fun taking it on! Tactics include physical mental and subtle practices, particularly using our subtle will, one of the major means of attainment in the Sadhana of Tantra. Let's explore this together Feb 7, the week before Valentine's Day.

Satsang is the practice of meeting for the sake of truth, to explore the teachings and bring forth our own highest wisdom. Friends and family are welcome.

Satsang is an evening of high energy with Rudrani, the WYC Director. This monthly program includes group meditation, chanting, yoga philosophy, spiritual teachings and an exploration of the theme of the month. All are welcome. No prior experience needed.

Call for 66th St. location information 212-877-4153.
Tuiton: $20

We will provide tea and cushions. If you are new to meditation as a practice, there will be instruction to support you. All are welcome.
