January Satsang: “The Pause That Refreshes”

Thursday, Jan 15, 7-9:30pm

‘Satsang is very precious to me. I treasure the meditations…’ ~WYC Student

As a child many of us grew up with the advertisement “the pause that refreshes” but it was not an invitation to practice enlightenment!
The pause we mean is internal and subtle. You may have noticed that our samskaras, our egoic tendencies arise in a flash and move us, with emotions and words,  like a toboggan slide downhill with no brakes and off we go! Stopping these automaticities requires great presence and diligence. As we enter this new year of 2015, it would be a great boon have some mastery of this and for this, a practice of pausing in the moment, so we can shape what unfolds from our highest intentions. “The pause that refreshes” means a pause  in which we release the limitation of ego and remain aligned with the Intelligence of life. Let’s explore this as we lift off the New Year of 2015.

Satsang is an evening of high energy with Rudrani, the WYC Director. This monthly program includes group meditation, chanting, yoga philosophy, spiritual teachings and an exploration of the theme of the month. All are welcome. No prior experience needed.

Call for 66th St. location information 212-877-4153.
Tuiton: $20

We will provide tea and cushions. If you are new to meditation as a practice, there will be instruction to support you. All are welcome.
