"Dyeing the Mind the Color of the Self: The development of Viveka"
The Sages say that repeated experiences of the transcendent dimension within us are indeed glimpses of the very root of existence, the essence of life, the Self within. They say that these experiences leave an impression that builds momentum. Most of us have known a surge of compassion for people, or gratitude to be alive, or connection to the heart of life seeing clouds stars mountains oceans and forests. It is natural to desire to stabilize in that expanded awareness, and good to know that steady practice and regular turning of the mind within is in fact slowly building a foundation for realizing this.
As we face realities about our future here on Earth we wonder how to have more than glimpses and how to increase the pace of this shift into something we have not yet known. Can the untamable mind support us and can we become more and more stable in that expanded state?
