"Amnesia of the Ego: Letting in Possibility"
According to Yoga scriptures we are constructed with sensory equipment that doesn’t allow us to perceive the underlying energy of which we are made. We only know the objective world through touch, smell, sight, sound, taste, along with cognitive abilities, discernment, discrimination, and technological intelligence. Though this has made us an incredibly inventive species on Planet Earth… (with mixed reviews on our wisdom )… it nonetheless has not made us awake to Reality so we remain asleep to the mystery of our existence. Born into a family system that shapes us into a person we believe ourselves to be, we develop a strong attachment to this transient identity, and by a kind of amnesia the sages call concealment create that our true nature remains unknown. The awakenment process comes with great openings into possibility and this is worth exploring in the new year of 2018 as it lifts off.
The group chose this theme in our last Satsang. Come join us and enjoy our shared learning as we all continue to grow together.
