"The Ghee of Dispassion"
There is a traditional Indian tale about cutting the sticky, jack fruit that warns us to handle the world with ghee on our hands or it will stick to us and cause us problems. How liberating, how spacious it would be to touch situations, people, places and things with no attachment and no ego, so that nothing would cling to us or cause karmic consequences! Learning to let go and surrender to this, while fully engaged in life, is the Yogic ideal of a conscious life. So say the great scriptures of Yoga! Driving away whatever would pull us away from the true joy, power and heart of the Self becomes a worthy effort once we realize we can gain a steady foothold in it—enjoying that wholeness and blissful wellbeing. Let's look at this together and see how we might invite the mind to manage the sticky situations of life with greater detachment, more surrender and a bigger supply of that special ghee!
